Countdown for the next EFPT stop has started
At the end of this week the EFPT team will already report from the beach of Six Fours les Plages in Le Brusc, South of France, from the European Funboard Expression event, where we are going to set up our base together with 36 pre-registered riders out of twelve different nations.
As the whole schedule of the event is very professional and the program promises a great festival at a spot that already has the reputation to be one of the best in Europe, the pre-registration list has grown and grown and now promises to be an EFPT event with one of the largest number of competitors in years.
Next to pro riders from France like Antony Ruenes, Adrien Bosson (North/Fanatic) and Julien Mas and from other countries like Mattia Fabrizi (North/Fanatic) and Jacopo Testa (RRD/RRD) from Italy, Adrian Beholz (Sailloft/Fanatic) and Matthias Genkel (Sailloft) from Germany and many more, there will be some younger sailors giving their debut on the tour. These include the likes of Nic Hibdige (Starboard) from the UK, who just won the British freestyle tour in the under 20's category, 15 year old Cappuzzo Francesco (RRD/RRD) from Italy and Timothé Roumain (17 years old) from France to name but a few.
The sport side of the event will be covered with an every day EFPT competition, tow-in shows and the possibility for spectators to also attend windsurfing clinics. During the evenings a whole social calendar is planned, ranging from live concerts to a pasta party and a video night, in which the winners of the EFE video contest will be elected by the audience.
After some difficulties in the start with not enough people getting involved, the organisers mailbox has been overflowing with last minute entries, to the point that some clips even had to be refused. The jury that selected the top five clips consisted of pro rider Flo Jung, the EFE video team Pertusatofilms, the staff of Continentseven and Windsurfjournal, members of the local windsurfing associations BCB and SFWO, the EFPT riders Julien Mas and Adrien Bosson, as well as the sponsors of the video contest - 16 people in total. The winners will be chosen by the audience at the EFE/EFPT event in Six Fours les Plages after they have seen the whole video! Watch the TOP 5 trailers here:
